Delhi Exposure Visit 2026

Delhi Exposure Visit 2026: Exploring New Frontiers of Understanding

7th - 11th June 2026

From 7th - 11th June 2026, eight participants (four girls and four boys) from the Community Cricket Program travelled to New Delhi for the annual exposure visit. The visit aimed to strengthen cricket skills while building leadership, life skills, and gender awareness through experiential learning. Participants attended a photography session, a box cricket match, a leadership workshop by Pro Sport Development, and a Mental health session. They also visited humayun's Tomb, Qutub Minar, and National Science Center gaining exposure to the nation’s history and culture.

A new element that was incorporated into this exposure visit was a workshop around mental hygiene - daily practices to maintain emotional stability and promote mental well being. Facilitated by Delhi's well known psycho social therapist Arvinder Singh the session at one point pivoted around the game of cricket and how this could set them thinking about mental strength and resilience. The responses of the young participants left us stunned. When Arvinder Singh skillfully drew them into a conversation on the game of cricket since this is a cricket program and asked each one which part of cricket they most identify with - many said bat, some said wicket offering unique perspectives on their choice. Among the ones who said cricket ball the response of one child is etched in our mind for the sheer depth and maturity. I identify with the cricket ball said this teenager who has grown up with such limited life chances. Because it gets hit by the bat again and again but absorbs the pain and bounces back.
